Flin Flon maintains hold of No. 1 in CJHL rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade

TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Monday that the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) have maintained their hold at No. 1 overall in its latest Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade.

Continuing to top the table in the 12-team Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, Flin Flon are on a 10-0-1-0 heater as of late, while boasting a SJHL-best overall mark of 23-1-2-0.

Slotted No. 2 are the surging Brooks Bandits (AJHL).

The reigning Centennial Cup title holders have reeled off 13 consecutive triumphs to extend their lead in the Alberta Junior Hockey League standings, in having gone 28-3-0-0 to date.

Despite a narrow double overtime setback Sunday, the Ontario Junior League-leading Collingwood Blues stay at No. 3 in the weekly listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service.

Collingwood is playing .833 hockey so far this season while sporting a mark of 26-3-0-1.

Coming in at No. 4 nationally are the front-runners of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the Steinbach Pistons.

Even with having an 11-game winning streak snapped on the road Saturday versus the rival Portage Terriers, Steinbach still leads the MJHL in goals-scored with 104 and pace the pack with a record of 20-3-1-0.

Capping of the Top 5 in the 122-team CJHL are the Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL).

Having gone 12-0-1-0 in their past 13 outings, Trenton enters play this week posting a season-starting run of 24-4-0-1.
