Tigers’ Arsenault commits to Briercrest College

The Campbellton Tigers have announced that Austin Arsenault has committed to Briercrest College of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) where he’ll join his brother Jacob, who played two seasons with Summerside.

The 20-year-old from Richmond, P.E.I. finished sixth on the Tigers in scoring this season with 38 points in 49 games. His 22 goals were fourth-best on the team and he added 16 assists. In six games during the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs, Arsenault had one goal and two assists.

Arsenault was drafted in the 3rd Round, 44th overall, by the Summerside Western Capitals in the 2019 MHL Entry Draft. After a handful of games with the club in 2019-20 and 2020-21, Arsenault was traded to Campbellton before the start of the 2021-22 season but didn’t join the team until the current season.

The MHL congratulates Arsenault on his post-secondary commitment.
