Timberwolves’ Doucet commits to the Université de Moncton

The Miramichi Timberwolves have announced that forward David Doucet has committed to the Université de Moncton for the 2024-25 season.

The 20-year-old from Baie-Ste-Anne, N.B. was a Territorial selection by the Timberwolves in the 2019 MHL Entry Draft. Doucet played for the Cape Breton Eagles, Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and Val-d’Or Foreurs for over four seasons, starting in 2019-20, collecting 27 goals and 38 assists in 206 games as well as three goals in thirteen playoff games.

Doucet joined Miramichi after the January 10th trade deadline and entering the last week of the season has tallied eleven goals and nineteen assists in eighteen games. He’s been named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week once this season.
