Timberwolves’ Turgeon commits to UQTR

The Miramichi Timberwolves have announced that forward Zacheal Turgeon has committed to the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) for the 2024-25 season.

The 20-year-old from Amos, Quebec spent three and a half seasons in the QMJHL, starting in 2019-20, with the Victoriaville Tigres and Val-d’Or Foreurs. Turgeon tallied sixteen goals and 29 assists in 147 games, with one goal in fourteen playoff games.

He joined the Timberwolves after the January 10th trade deadline and has seven goals and eleven assists in seventeen games, entering the final week of the regular season.

The MHL congratulates Turgeon on his post-secondary commitment.
