Timberwolves’ Dufort commits to Ontario Tech University

The Miramichi Timberwolves have announced that captain Ludovic Dufort has committed to Ontario Tech University for 2024-25.

The 20-year-old from Laval, Quebec joined the Timberwolves for the 2022-23 season after one year with the QMJHL’s Val-d’Or Foreurs, where he had one goal and two assists in 47 games. In his first season in the MHL, Dufort was sixth in team scoring with eighteen goals and 25 assists in 41 games. He had one assist in six playoff games. Dufort was also named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week twice during the season.

With a few days left in the 2023-24 season, Dufort sits third in league scoring with 81 points. He has a league-leading 46 goals to go with 35 assists. That goal total broke the franchise record held by Andre Gill in the 2004-05 season for Miramichi. He’s second in the league with thirteen powerplay goals. Dufort was named Top Forward for February and has been named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week six times.

The MHL congratulates Dufort on his post-secondary commitment.
