Notes

  • Summerside were ranked between 2nd and 4th in the CJHL’s weekly Top 20 national rankings from November 1st to the end of the season. Fredericton were ranked once (13th on October 4th) and an Honourable Mention once (February 28th).
  • The Fredericton Red Wings won the Eastlink North Division Final last season in an abbreviated playoff format, defeating Miramichi in a best-of-three series.
  • The Western Capitals had a 2 to 1 ratio for goals for and goals against this season. They scored a league-high 206 goals and allowed a league-best 101 in 38 games during the regular season. In the Division Semifinal, they scored 23 goals and allowed twelve against Edmundston. Meanwhile, five of Fredericton’s six games against Campbellton in their Division Semifinal were decided by one goal, including two that went to double overtime.
  • The Red Wings have split time between both goaltenders in the Canadian Tire Cup Playoffs, with both Christian Sbaraglia and Mathias Savoie each playing three games and picking up two wins. Felix-Anthony Ethier, acquired from Truro in December and the Eastlink North’s All-Star goaltender, figures to start every game once again for the regular season champions.
  • Summerside were 4 for 7 (57.1%) on the powerplay on the road against Edmundston. Fredericton were shorthanded 24 times against Campbellton, which trailed only Valley and Yarmouth who were each shorthanded 25.
