Patton commits to Utica College

The Yarmouth Mariners have announced that forward Cameron Patton has committed to Utica College, an NCAA Division III school, for the 2021-22 season.

The 20-year-old from Truro, N.S. was acquired from the Mariners on January 2nd in a trade with the CCHL’s Carleton Place Canadians. Patton was drafted in the 5th Round, 74th overall, in the 2017 MHL Entry Draft by Yarmouth. In three seasons with the Canadians, Patton had 41 goals and 47 assists in 123 games, including one assist in thirteen playoff games during the 2018-19 season.

Patton had twelve goals and eleven assists in 23 regular season games with the Mariners. He also notched three game-winning goals. In five games during the Canadian Tire Cup Eastlink South Playoff Round-Robin, Patton had four goals and three assists.

“We are very excited to have landed Cam,” says Utica Head Coach Gary Heenan. “He has proven across multiple leagues that he can play and produce at a high level. We really like him as a player, but love his character. Pioneer fans will know the name Patton very well in the near future.”
