The Grand Falls Rapids have announced that forward Nathan Plamondon-Michaud has committed to Université de Québec in Chicoutimi.
The 21-year-old from Québec City, Quebec spent two seasons in the MHL, joining the Edmundston Blizzard in 2024-25. He registered twelve goals and nine assists in 34 games before being dealt to Grand Falls at the trade deadline. Plamondon-Michaud finished the season with the Rapids by tallying five goals and seven assists in 20 games. He was named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week once.
In 2025-26, Plamondon-Michaud finished fourth on the Rapids in scoring with 49 points in 52 games. His 25 goals were second on the team to go with 24 assists, and he made the Eastlink North team of the Week once during the season. In the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs, Plamondon-Michaud had one goal in five games
