Red Wings set to hold Pink in the Rink in Fredericton

(Fredericton Red Wings)

The Fredericton Red Wings are proud to present the First Annual Pink in the Rink Night at the Grant Harvey Arena on October 24, 2019.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Pink in the Rink is a way to show support for those that have been touched by breast cancer. Breast cancer will affect over 27,000 people in 2019. The purpose of this night is to shine a light and be aware of the struggles, impacts, and people involved with breast cancer.  Visit the Canadian Cancer Society booth at the rink for more information.

The honorary chairs for Pink in the Rink are survivors and family members who have been affected by breast cancer.  Along with the Canadian Cancer Society, they will be taking part in the ceremonial puck drop.  We extend a warm Pink in the Rink welcome to Taylor, Tara, Adam and Monica.

The players will be wearing custom made pink Red Wing jerseys during the game and fans can bid on their favourite player jerseys during an online auction and at the rink.  Auction winners will go home with the autographed game worn jersey at the end of the night.

There are also 200 hot pink pucks (painted by the Red Wings players) available for purchase for a special chuck-a-puck during the second intermission. Participants will throw the pucks on the ice to win prizes, and closest to the center face off dot will win!   Have fun!

This night is all about spreading awareness about breast cancer, so come on down to the Grant Harvey Center October 24th, 2019, wear your pink and be part of the Pink in the Rink Night for fun, prizes, awareness, and of course witness your Fredericton Red Wings take on the Grand Falls Rapids!
